Habu Poster Print
This is a reproduction of a 1968 poster by Russ Maheras commemorating the “Habu” nickname for the SR-71 Blackbird and its crew.
Habu is the name of a venomous snake found in Okinawa, Japan where the SR-71 was based when it earned this nickname, owing to the fact that they look similar.
This nickname has stuck and now even the crew patches say HABU.
