The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is the next generation of space-based telescope and the successor of the Hubble Space Telescope. As its launch date was repeatedly postponed since 2007, it became one of the most highly-anticipated space missions and it finally launched on Christmas day in 2021.
With more advanced and sensitive equipment than Hubble, this telescope is expected to answer many questions about the formation of planets, stars, galaxies, and the universe itself.
