Description
Chernobyl New Safe Confinement Structural Bolt
Chernobyl New Safe Confinement (NSC) is an arched dome that was built to contain the radioactive remains of the destroyed reactor of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Pripyat, Ukraine.
Because of the danger of working around the reactor, the structure was built adjacent to the power plant and moved into position on rails. When it was moved to its final position it was the largest moving structure ever built.
There are over 650,000 Tension Control Bolts installed in this mega-structure protecting the planet from toxic radiation.
Bolts are not radioactive
