Enchodus, also called the ‘Sabertooth of the Sea’ was a fearsome predator that lived 85 to 40 million years ago, from the Late Cretaceous to Early Paleogene periods. Its elongated fangs, sometimes reaching six inches, made it a formidable hunter. Specialized for impaling prey, these fangs reveal the creature’s evolutionary mastery in marine predation.
