Description
Ocean Jasper
Orbicular Jasper, commercially known as Ocean Jasper, is a variety of jasper with circular patterns of a wide variety of colors. It is mined in Madagascar, Nebraska, and was recently discovered in Bulgaria. The spherical structures of color are created when needle-like crystals of quartz or feldspar form a radial nucleation site within volcanic rock or ash.
